Here is a brief overview of the most popular APP activities.

Playgroups  - Weekly, usually in a member's home - For children aged 0 - 3 yrs and 3+yrs.

Coffee Mornings  – Monthly, 10.30 - Midday.

An opportunity for members to get together for a coffee and chat.

Walking Group – Twice monthly.

Alternate Mondays commencing at 10am, the walks are between 2 – 3 hours duration.

Gentlemans Evening Out - Every 3 months.

An opportunity for the gentlemen to assert their independence and abandon their ladies, to spend an evening demonstrating their skills on the pool table.  All that is needed is a healthy appetite and skill on the pool table. 

The lure of the title “Anglophone Pool Champion” attracts a lot of interest and competition is always very keen. Recently there was a triple tie, and competition is always expected to be fierce.

Food and Drinks Evenings  – Monthly.

Hosted by a member each month in their home. This is a fun evening designed for adults to get together and enjoy some food, wine and good company. Just bring along a plate of food and a bottle.

Food Lovers Group – Meets most months.

A member of the group hosts the evening at their home. The hosts are responsible for deciding on a menu, buying the ingredients and generally co-ordinating the evening. The rest of the group turn up around 6.30pm and prepare and cooks the meal under the guidance of the host. Everyone brings a bottle of wine and all share the cost of the meal.

The group always welcomes new members.

French Conversation Group - Weekly.

Meet weekly on a Thursday afternoon from 2pm in Orthez. This is a group of like minded individuals who enjoy a fun afternoon together whilst enhancing their French language skills.

Book Club  - Monthly.

Meets to discuss a book read by all members during the previous month. Meetings are generally held in the evenings from 20.30, although once or twice a year, they are held on a weekend afternoon at the home of members who live a distance away. The host usually provides a few drinks and nibbles making it a jolly social occasion.

Library of English Fiction - open all hours - by appointment

A very large selection of up-to-date fiction in English is available to borrow or exchange. The library can be found at the home of Kathryn Lamare in Pau, close to the Park Beaumont.
